Fredericksburg Area Chapter
|It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Col. Jim Brown, Class of 1960. Jim was a longtime member of the Fredericksburg Area Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association and was very active, having served in a number of roles over the years, including president and most recently treasurer. He was also actively involved as a volunteer with several other organizations, including the Stafford County Sheriff's Office and the Stafford County Historical Society. Jim was a Hokie through and through, and he lived the spirit of "Ut Prosim" -- That I May Serve -- every day. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim's beloved wife June and the rest of their family. Jim's obituary can be found in the Free Lance-Star.|
